SIM Free Simple Phones

When you just buy a phone outright it's known as SIM free, as a contract or Pay As You Go phone deal always involves a network SIM card. The problem with buying smart phones like the iPhone, Samsung Galaxy etc SIM free is the large initial outlay but with a simple phone like the Nokia 1800 it can be worth the initial cost to then put your existing contract SIM or network SIM only SIM into it.

If this sounds confusing refer to our Buying Tips page here. Put simply, SIM free is where you buy just the phone as you already have a contract or PAYG SIM card and SIM only is where you take just the SIM card with included minutes and texts as you already have a phone.
